Insurance pulled with CGT 'stop use' campaign
Guys, as per the title, some of us in the UK in fact most UK owners have had our insurance cover for road use pulled due to the PAG 'stop use' campaign.
Have any of you had your insurance revoked so can't drive your cars? Crazy situation in the UK we are trying to resolve, be good to get your input from the US.
Cheers

No issue with insurance in the US - there is no mandatory stop-use here. Just inspect and continue using if inspection is ok.
Also, spoke with porsche top management at Le Mans last month...the recall/replacement part is from Porsche being extra cautious with the smallest chance of an issue with their halo car.
I have no concern driving the CGT.
Biggest caution still the same - 600hp and minimal TC requires appropriate respect

PAG are locking down hard on this and enforcing ‘stop
use’ so I fully expect this will be a global restriction on using our cars until new parts are available in Q3 2024.
The two main UK insurance companies for CGT owners Chubb and Aviva have pulled cover this will no doubt extend to all regions for fear of litigation in the remote chance of a spherical joint failure and accident or claim attributable to this.

I wish this were true, but the NHTSA website displays an URGENT: DO NOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE notice for any VINs implicated. See here https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and check you VIN.

Yes, this is confirmed, from Porsche Cars GB;
How do we proceed?
Given the exclusivity of the model, and limited production, unfortunately the required new parts are currently forecast to be available during the third quarter of 2024. Porsche AG is working at high pressure to optimize this timeline in order to enable parts availability as soon as possible.
As soon as the optimised parts are available for your vehicle, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to carry out the action.

As much as its nice that Porsche is doing something, they kind of need to provide something else as well...as thats way too long to be paying for insurance and not being able to use the car.
