XPOST: East Bay GT car get-together
I’m gauging interest in setting up a regular, casual get-together, focused on Porsche GT cars, in the East Bay of the San Francisco area.
What do you all think of the 3rd Sunday of the month, around 9am (first GTG would be July 16th)? In terms of locations, I suggest City Center in San Ramon which has good parking, easy freeway access and a good coffee shop (Philz).
Disclosure: I usually hang out in other sub-forums, mostly the 997 GT forum.

Bumping this thread. Let's aim for a GT-car focused get-together at 9am on Sunday July 16th at
which is in the eastern corner of the shopping center and has plenty of parking. All cars are welcomed of course but it'd be nice to get some GT cars together.
Hope to see some of you there this Sunday. I'll be there in a white 997.1

last bump: hope to meet some of you this Sunday 7/16 at 9am. Also, since I got feedback that the Google map I previously shared didn't load correctly for some people, the address is 6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd #1609, San Ramon, CA 94583. That's the address for Philz Coffee in City Center / Bishop Ranch. It's in a less trafficked part of the center and has plenty of parking.

Hi all, we will have another GT-focused get together at City Center San Ramon this Sunday, August 20th at 9am. Same place as last month's GTG - near the Philz Coffee (Address: 6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd Suite 1609, San Ramon, CA 94583). If you are not tired out yet from Monterey Car Week hope to see you there. We had great turnout and good, friendly conversations last time.
Cheers,

The date for the last GT-car-focused get-together of 2023 is coming up and I am switching things up a bit.
.
Hope to see you all there on Saturday.
/alex
.
- Date: moving the get together to SATURDAY December 16th, instead of Sunday December 17th because the weather is forecast to be sunny on Saturday but rainy on Sunday
- Time: 9am until ~10:30am
- Location (CHANGED FROM WHERE WE NORMALLY MEET): Blackhawk Plaza in Danville (address: 3380 Blackhawk Plaza Cir, Danville, CA 94506) because Saturday conflicts with the San Ramon Farmer's Market held at our usual location at Bishop Ranch City Center in San Ramon. Meet at the eastern side of the Plaza, which is best accessed from Camino Tassajara
- Drive: at the last get together we discussed the idea of a drive following the get-together. If people want to head out for a drive afterward that is an option.
Hope to see you all there on Saturday.

Awesome seeing some great GT cars this past Saturday! Serendipitously the original owner of a Sapphire Blue 997.2 GT3 was reunited with its current owner at the get-together. Enjoy the pictures and I hope to see people for the next one on the 21st of January.

All, this Sunday, January 21st at 9am is the 1st GT-car get-together of 2024. Hope to see many of you there. As always, all cars are welcomed.
We are back to our “normal” location (City Center Bishop Ranch San Ramon, in the eastern corner of the parking lot near Philz Coffee - 6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd Suite 1609, San Ramon, CA 94583).
I have heard that some people may go for a drive after the GTG, around 10:30am, to Alice’s in the Santa Cruz mountains. I am not organizing the drive, just passing the info along that people might head out toward Hwy 92 and then Hwy 35.

3rd Sunday of the month is this weekend, February 18th, so that means ...
GT-car GTG at the usual location at 9am - Near Philz Coffee in the City Center Shopping Center in San Ramon (address: 6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd Suite 1609, San Ramon, CA 94583)
Although rain is forecast for later in the day on Sunday, the morning looks to be dry. Hope to see a number of you there.

The 3rd Sunday of the month is this Sunday April 21st. Fremont Porsche is hosting a Cars and Coffee from 8am - 10am on that day. I propose that interested folks that had planned to come to the GT-car get-together instead meet at the usual Bishop Ranch Spot near Philz Coffee ((address: 6000 Bollinger Canyon Rd Suite 1609, San Ramon, CA 94583 and caravan down to the Cars and Coffee. Departure time for the caravan is 7:15am.
Hope to see some of you there.
/alex
p.s. yes the website says they are at capacity - I can't vouch for there being room but I'd imagine they'd try to accommodate a couple of GT cars.
