FGT was the only super/hyper/whatever-car I ever lusted after. I grew up American muscle fan, never even saw a Porsche in-the-flesh growing up and never assumed I’d actually own an FGT one day. So when I was able to buy an 05 FGT, I assumed that was IT! Done! I had already gotten into 3/3rs but the FGT was still that next-level car I assumed had no replacement. I got an opportunity to buy a friend’s CGT along the way, never expecting to keep it long-term. The FGT got sold shortly after. In hindsight, I wish I had kept the FGT longer and piled on more miles to experience it more. At that time I didn’t think it made sense to keep the FGT and CGT in my lineup; they seemed too “similar” but I assumed the CGT would be the short-term fling. Plus, I was too much of an RS nut to let any of them go. However, of all the cars I let go of after falling for the CGT, the FGT is one I wish I had kept longer and could see pairing with the CGT today, now that I try to keep to a “fun stable of two”. Outside of being mid-engine and manual they have dramatically different personality than anything Porsche including CGT. So, my logic was a bit flawed. However, if I had to keep one of anything, it’s the CGT. If I had a short list of cars I wish I had kept longer (and there aren’t many), FGT is on that list.
Good luck with the swap. I assume you want an individual but Merit Partners is a good place to facilitate your swap if you go the dealer route. They would be my first call.

I’m interested in your fgt if you want to sell it.

I had both for many years.
FGT is a lot of fun but cannot compare to a CGT, as build quality, engineering, and driving experience are worlds apart.
Still FGT is an awesome car at 1/4 the price.
