CGT vs. Enzo at MIS?
Here's a gauntlet being thrown down by Car and Driver Magazine in their June 2004 issue on page 33:
"Wanted: One Enzo for Our Trial by Fire
Are you mice ... or mice?!
As our annual Supercar Challenge draws near -- June 27 and 28 at Michigan International Sppedway, a contest among the hottest performance cars on the planet -- not a single stalwart with a Ferrari Enzo has dared to step forward.
As usual, the few Enzo owners we know go slinking off, muttering the usual, "Ferraris are not about numbers."
Dammit, we want a Ferrari!
So, listen, if you have an Enzo and want to show the world it can kick anybody's butt, step forward and give us a call (734-971-3600, ask for Larry Webster).
We'll even let you drive."

The Enzo is making a bit more HP than the CGT. Even so the CGT is only around 2 tenths of a second slower 0-60, 0-100. Basically straight line performance only. The CGT will more than make up that TINY .2 of a second deficit on a track. Top gear just tested the CGT vs the SLR. the Stig said the CGT was the fastest thing he ever tested on their track! I'd like to see Top gear test the Enzo there. Track comparos are what is needed to really see how these two cars match up.

Don't start that. The enzo outperforms the CGT. So what? It also costs three times as much in real market value. The enzo is nearly an F1 car. The difference in performance is so inconsequential anyways, does it really justify the price difference?
And what happens to most Ferraris? They sit in garages. What happens to most Porsches? People take 'em out and have a blast driving them! Thats what really counts.
I would more challenge someone to drive something like an Enzo or CGT at their limits. There is a challenge.
I know which car I would take. Common you know which one it is.
