Most likely just needs standardization process completed, theres not many issues with these systems. The control unit could have lost the memory of it's stop limits from low voltage during storage. Any dealer can perform this procedure while you wait. Couldn't hurt to have the perform the same process on the front aero and radiator slats while they're at it

Thanks Jimmy. Local dealer says it can’t be fixed with standardization processes and are going to look into it further for me.
Such a special car...took mine for a 220 ish mile road trip yesterday, and there's no other car in it's class you could ever do that with in the same way, total beast!
Beautiful car. I’ve never really seen a 918 or knew what it was. I do know what a Carrera GT is and it looks a lot like it. Beautiful car.
I am a new 911 turbo owner and have the same feeling. These cars are beasts and so much fun to drive. Please post more pictures at your convenience. Thank you very much.
Now with a new control module the aero works intermittently. Hope this isn’t an ongoing thing. Hopefully dealer can sort it out.
Sorry to revive an old thread but the same problem just happened on my 918 - wing jammed in the Up position . Did your dealer find a solution? I’ve driven over 1000 miles in the past week on a road trip and all was good until today.
To those that have had the privilege of doing both - how does driving the 918, beyond just a "test drive" (i.e. more an owner's experience) compare to the driving/ownership experience of a more run-of-the-mill Porsche, like a 911 Turbo or GT car?

I’ve done a lots of miles in my 2015 918 (26,000) and have a GT2 and 992 Turbo S Cab and have had various other modern Porsches. The 918 is more difficult to drive but it gives greater thrills too. It turns more heads, sounds better, feels more special. But a 911 is a better every day car and never feels inferior.

Yeah, I'm in love with that car and I haven't even driven one. It's also unbelievably beautiful in white, and this particular example at auction made me salivate: https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/wc23...issach-spyder/
At current price levels it's beyond what I'd be comfortable spending on a car, but I think in terms of value, and holding value, it beats any other Porsche.
So value-wise, if we're looking at total financial sense, it's definitely superior to a 911 or any other Porsche, however, if you look at just Performance-per-Dollar or Enjoyment-per-Dollar, how does it stack up - i.e. Enjoyment-per-Dollar of a $250k 911 TTS vs a $2mill+ 918?

Yes, it frustrates me too when someone asks for help and doesn't follow up with the solution.
