Default Porsche next super car?

What is the word on the next big car for Porsche? GT1? Hypercar? 917 concept? 2023? 2025?
Anybody hear anything from the porsche cleaning lady? Or is she off for Covid?

No inside information, but some educated guesses...

Next hypercar will likely have 917 inspired styling (see recent concept). Timing for announcement should be 2022, but could be sooner. Strong hypercar market, and no upcoming releases from other sibling brands - no new road car imminent from Bugatti, and Lamborghini just sold out their $2mm Countach and there is some time before the Aventador replacement (which in any case won't be in the hypercar price range). Main reason to delay would be development of solid-state batteries for production as this car will likely be a hybrid.

^^^true; they’ve already done hybrid and the future is electric. Intuitively it seems like it should be ev.

A lot depends on when solid state batteries are production ready, and Porsche's launch timing of the hypercar relative to that.

Last time I was in Weissach in 2019, Porsche were definitely thinking electric hypercar.

But more recently, top guys at Porsche have been playing up limitations of electric and also playing up benefits of synthetic fuels.

And these recent developments:.
- the next Bugatti/Rimac hypercar will be hybrid, not electric
- the current crop of electric hypercars are struggling to sell in the current market. A market where 112 rebodied Lamborghini Aventador V12s sell out immediately.
- this interview - https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/...liser-porsche/

So that is why I guessed hybrid.
Or maybe my crystal ball needs an engine-out service

All in good friendly banter gentlemen!

Very cool!
Specifications look to be a very close fit for FIA's upcoming electric GT class.

Leiberman pretty much confirmed through his sources in the newest spikes car radio that it will be a twin turbo V8. Either motor from 918 or similar engine.

The hypercar class requires 25 homologation first year and 100 homologation second year. So, there will be a road car version and it will be hybrid of some sort.

Grats to you guys who are vips because I'm sure it's going to be a special car.

Ummm...I think Lieberman has this one a little off, but what do I know 😂. He also "confirmed" there were 3 different special Porsche 911s and the one doesn't really exist, so the info is wishy washy. His lambo info was pretty on point though re the releases that have come out.
