Everything I have read comparing the CGT to the Enzo puts them on the same level, infact they say the CGT has superior traction in the wet. No way in hell does it take over a second to get from 130 to 132. The thing is brutal in its acceleration, feels like it never lets up.

Sloth,
I think you are correct. Lets gather a lynch mob and hunt down Mike! He has possibly single handedly torpedoed the worlds entire CGT market!
NOW WHOSE WITH ME??? Lynch Mike! Lynch Mike!!!1

"It seems to me if they are cutting off production at 1000 units 500 coming to the states the car will hold it's value better. "
that would be fantastic news.
btw, mike was only repeating what he thought (and may have) heard from the magazine writer re: the 1/4 time. there is no way this 3100 lb, 600 hp beast runs in the low 12s.

ben in lj,
Well I hope that everyone understands that I was kidding about Mike and the lynching.
I would like to revisit an issue. I dug out my old time slips from the drag strip when I was a kid. We had dropped an L88 427 into a camaro and routinely ran low 12s at 130 MPH. The whole concept of traction eluded us at that time. So I am hereby stating that it can be done. I don't know how fast i got to 110 MPH or whatever but I know you can run a low 12 at 130 MPH. So all you engineers can pull out your sliderule but to me real life beats a slide rulr every time.
By the way we ruined a perfectly good original cross ram 69 Z28 to drop the L88 in to it. Anytime you guys want to hear how I ruined my original 69 Shelby just ask. In those days I bought my Shelby for 1200 and the cross ram for 1500. As you can plainly see I am not the sharpest tool in the shed.

sure, but that would be some feat if you got to 130 mph in 10.8 from a standing start but managed to take low 12s after having just got there in 10.8 :-)

I agree Ben, but it's possible Mike's quarter mile times are correct but his other numbers are off.
Forklift,
When I was in my teens my dad owned a used car lot so I would go to the dealers auction with him thats where we bought these old muscle cars so cheap. So we bought a 69 Shelby convertible with the 351 windsor motor in it. So I didn't think that was fast enough so I put a 71 Boss 351 motor in it. Thereby ruining two cars at the same time. I didn't like the Shelby being an auto matic so we put a 4 speed in it. I threw away just about every original part on the car so I could " upgrade the Shelby". I didn't know how rare it was at the time. Years later I stumbled on my original Shelby motor at a garage sale. I bought it back just because it was cheap and saved it for no apparent reason. So in 1980 after putting well over 100,000 miles on the car a guy offered me 13 grand for the car IF it had the original motor. So I sold it thinking what a sucker the guy was. Not long ago I bought a 1970 Shelby coupe Gt 350 from the original owner and had to pay 41K for the car. Like I said I have never been accused of being the brightest bulb on the tree.
Don't ask me what car we got the L88 motor out of that is too painful to talk about.

0-60 MPH = 3.5 seconds
0-100 MPH = 6.8 seconds
0-130 MPH = 10.8 seconds
1/4 mile = 12.2 seconds @ 132 MPH
0-100 MPH = 6.8 seconds
0-130 MPH = 10.8 seconds
1/4 mile = 12.2 seconds @ 132 MPH

Well I am the only loan officer in the world who make decent $ and still rents due to sports car turnover....so don't feel so bad. You can't drive a house! .....but if I bought I....don't even want to think about it.
Hey, don't think about yesterday, think about tomorrow. I think you should drop your GT2 motor in the Cayenne when it gets in off the boat. Don't even drive it. Just stick it in the truck.
I am outta here, going to VIR for the weekend. Ain't never been there, they tell me it's nice....JW.
