Exclamation WTB: A driver CGT without any issues

Since Erik was fortunate enough to have found the right car with the help on Rennlisters, I figured I'd post a thread of my own. I'm looking for the following...

- 2004 or 2005 car
- 5k to 20k miles (the higher the better as I'm not looking for a garage art creme puff and plan on driving the car)
- Prefer Seal Gray but open to Black and GT Silver (not into red or yellow)
- Black/Dark Gray interior only
- No over revs
- No accidents
- Open to cars who need major service or have missing luggage and other items (to be reflected in the price though)
- Private party preferred but open to dealer & brokered cars (owned or consigned)
- US cars only
- Prefer to have full clear bra on the car

I'm a serious buyer who is ready to pull the trigger when the right car comes around, no need to check my finances or get an approval from a wife here. That being said, I've done research on the CGT market and know people in the know so I know what a fair price is for a good clean car. Feel free to PM me or email me at mmania001 at yahoo dot com. Thanks.

The Canadian car? I'm not comfortable buying a car from out of the country and any CGT that I buy will need to get a clean PPI from BBI before I wire over funds which will be hard with the Canadian car.

Nope, the CGT would be a stable mate to the Black 4.0...the old car out would be my 991.2RS.

We all know #1033 has a history and is now being offered here:
https://www.texashotrides.com/2005-p...-75006/6147469

But they also have another CGT in GT Silver w/ 7,800mi. Anything wrong with this one?:

I have inspected many cars at Hot Rides, but i haven't seen this one. Porsche History shows it living in Florida early on, then moved to Missouri. From the photos the tires are new (hopefully TPMS also) but there's something going on with the front body panel alignment

I'm waiting for a yellow or red one that is the same price as the silver ones. Good driver with over 5k miles in the $600-700k range. Yes, I'll probably be waiting for awhile. I'm young enough to wait for the next recession though.

I spoke with them earlier today. They said the car has never had an engine out service. Unreal.

If that's the only issue with it, then may be worth a look assuming they are willing to discount the sale price accordingly so you can get the engine out done. The problem may be in assuming that's the only issue with it. Im sure they told you they bought it from another dealer so they have no other information about the car's history to pass on? FWIW, if you want me to go down there and take a look at it, DM me.

unbelievable!

why would you skimp on proper servicing?

mine is in for the 4th engine out service and gearbox repair at HOR I can’t see why you’d not maintain these cars to the manufacturer’s schedule.

I suspect because there was a time when they were priced such that people could get in to them but not afford the maintenance. Unfortunate.

Had a good lead on a GT Silver car but it had some minor issues so I made an appropriate offer and got outbid by $20k to a buyer who bought it "as-is" with no PPI. I don't get it, how could you not do a thorough PPI on a car like a CGT when the costs of issues can pile up quickly. Oh well, keep the leads coming guys.
