Carrera GT 1033
Update! Please read and beware:
With regards to the 2005 Carrera GT VIN #: WP0CA29865L001528 that I asked about last night, I was fortunate enough (through the powers of Rennlist) to get in touch with the original owner of the car in question. He had informed of a serious crash the car was involved in back in 2008 on Sebring Raceway. He had sold the car damaged, as is on ebay a short time after the crash.
Long story short, this car had an extensive repair done that was not/is not being disclosed by the current seller. It might be because they do not know, but being that the local Porsche Dealers were not offering a PPI service aside from a clutch reading, we had to do our own inspection in person which left us perplexed to the cars relatively perfect appearance. Just a heads up to those in the market.
Attached are the photos that tell the story perfectly.

An outfit affiliated with more than a few CGTs with spotty histories.
I have spoken with them on 2 different cars during my hunt for my first CGT. Responses were uninspiring at best and downright redflag material in another instance.
Suffice to say, my 2nd CGT (if I get lucky one day) will not be from these guys.

Thanks, CRex! Updated my post above. Your assessment seems accurate.

Great you got the info.
It's too bad people can't just be straight about things. I gave up after several failed attempts to buy a 993RS. Three nonsense processes in a row was enough for me.

Biggest reason I won't sell mine - getting back in is too much work.
I do love the idea of giving it back to Porsche and have it re-done this one may be a good candidate for that system.

I think that car was known to have a history. Looking at the pics, I recall them saying there had been some work done with a repaint of some body panels. They actually had some very nice cars, I believe access to 5 CGTs at one time. The last two on the website were the least desirable. I would always get a PPI for this car no matter what, if you have to fly someone in, call Jimmy Repasi. Good cars are getting harder to find unless you are willing to pay. Actually that black car would be a nice "driver", if you can get for a great price and repair is correct.

At first the damage didn't look too bad till I saw the cracked left rear wheel and it askew in the last pic. Ouch.

I have seen one in person. the picture does not do it justice. while the color (green) is not my fav., the work done was really speechless.
