I'm guessing it has something to do with this - http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...a-lawsuit.html

I'll gladly answer this. Bruce runs the most expensive chopshop on the planet. I bought the PTS Turbo 3.6 he had a few years ago. He resprayed it prior to listing it. During my ownership of the car a plethora of collectors reached out to me who had been scammed, screwed or knew of people who had by Bruce. One of his techs wrecked a 959. He fixed it and offered it up a couple years ago. A guy was close to pulling the trigger and would have set a new high mark for 959 pricing before a fellow collector tipped him off. The buyer asked Bruce to sign something saying the car had never been wrecked to his knowledge. Bruce called the buyer and told him that he was sorry but the car had just been sold, lol. He still has it and will attempt to sell it again at some point. He's the biggest POS in the Porsche collector world and that's saying something.

LOL. I was being polite by not telling my story here but since Bruce Canepa has screwed over so many people, these kind of stories are bound to come out

I've heard similar stories from collectors I know, and whose views I respect.
Stories aside, I wouldn't look at the Canepa treatment on a 959 as a plus. At this level of cars things need to be 1000% original. "Federalization" or "S package" or "upgrades" mean absolute bollocks and I positively see a premium for fettered cars.
