What all is done during an $87k service? Just curious, must be a lot of expensive parts to go with several weeks worth of labor.

many of my friends asked me about that
and I had the same answer.
with Porsches, you pay now or you pay later, pay pay pay, just keep paying...
but oh is it a fun car.

Still, 87k in service is a big number, even for a CGT

I agree, I would want to look into that closely along with the prior service history of lack thereof.

JUST A HEADS UP...

SOUTH BAY PORSCHE IN LOS ANGELES HAS ONE ON THEIR WEB PAGE...THEY HAVE HAD IT A LONG TIME FROM WHAT I CAN SEE. I AM NOT AFFILIATED NOR AM I FAMILIAR WITH THIS CAR IN ANY WAY. I THINK ASKING IS $699? MAYBE 4500 MILES?
JUST A HEADS UP.

AND IF YOU FIND OUT LATER IT'S A FAKE YOU'D HAVE BETTER LUCK SUING A PORSCHE DEALERSHIP RATHER THAN BOBS USED CARS(I DON'T KNOW MOMENTUM CARS EITHER, JUST BEING FUNNY)...LOL...SEINFELD REFERENCE. JUST KIDDING. BUT AT LEAST IT'S ANOTHER OPTION.

One at South Bay was up for sale for a while. I remember seeing it for $720K back in March last year..
so if it's still around then something must be not right...

Part of the issue with the car at Porsche South Bay is it has an aftermarket exhaust, and does not have a stock exhaust included with the car. The stock exhaust is $28,000 from Porsche (seller's provided number), and more owners these days are going back to stock, as opposed to the other way around, so finding a used unit would be very hard. The car has some other incorrect details as well. Cosmetically I'm not quite sure, haven't been up there to see it in person.

I believe this car received a fuel tank during the major service that is pictured

That would add to the cost, about 35k for the tank, and 40 hours of work.. my guess is it has probably sat for a long time, gas jellied in the pumps. a similar problem with the one that sold at Ameila (canepa) but they did the pull tank, and replace pumps...

Are the tanks' innards repairable now? I recall there was a time when replacement was the only option.
