Not a fan of the colors but I prefer a like factory fresh example all in vs a hundred mile art piece in some odd rare PTS at 1M+

Agreed. A super low mileage example will probably cost another 100K to replace parts just to get it run right. In this case, I rather do a factory refresh.

I've seen this car in person at PEC Atlanta and again at Amelia Island Werks Reunion. It's pretty stunning IMO and I can appreciate the individualization here. I'm also a sucker for gold wheels tho...

with respect, your source is not reliable in this case. i'm close friends with the owner and this figure is completely off. The price will never be disclosed to outsiders so he's simply making it up. That's all i can say about that.

What I can say is i was honored to play a small part of the materials/colors selection process, and Porsche really offers fantastics support and options to redo your CGT, and I would strongly encourage any CGT owners who are thinking about this to inquire about it.

The level of attention here was something which would be hard to replicate outside the factory. The carbon frame was taken apart, and completely re-sanded, and re-glossed. Everything you can't see, was touched and refinished. The build pics from this process was jaw-dropping in its complexity and detail, and i hope they are made public at some point, it's pleasurable just to look at them. Resto was all the way to the engine internals. When they say "nut and bolt" restoration, well.. precisely.

Owner made a fantastic decision, and i can't wait for when Porsche releases the car from their grip later this year...
