Singer Blowing Transmissions
I have been given to understand that Singer is breaking a significant number of G50 transmissions. Why? In fact, so many gearboxes have been broken that apparently some new ones are being made.

Interesting. The local singer gossip mill here that hasn’t come up.I wonder who is actually driving them hard enough and often enough to blow them? G50 are quite strong and built properly very strong.

Sounds like an unfounded rumour.
I'm friends with a singer owner who drives his extensively (and spiritedly). Zero gearbox issues. That doesn't mean they aren't out there... but until I see the evidence I'll ignore the rumours.
