Fire Extinguisher fitment in a CGT.
Hi All
Planning on fitting a fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell and wondering if there are any recommended fitment points, brackets etc. Don't want anything loose for obvious reasons.
Appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks JP

Can't. You got a carbon tub and the last thing you want is to drill through that.
And forget seat-mounts: anything attached to the seat is just gonna flex and wobble if your extinguisher's anything more than aesthetic...

I carry 1 or 2 in all my cars. Have several in my shop and house. Too cheap not have so many. CGT as in the pic above. (double stick tape)
Fires can be put out if caught early. It sure makes you feel stupid to see a small fire that could've been pissed out and not have the **** to put it out.

Haven't heard of any CGT's going up in flames, other than the ill fated PW incident. That’s a one off that no fire bottle would prevent.
I do have a fire bottle in my Miura though

Hah yeah! If you need it, it's probably too late anyway - if you're not crushed by the fire igniting crash you're better off grabbing your cell phone and sprinting away from the flames as you ping your claims adjuster with the bad news.

get the fk out. it burns up fast.
REAL FAST
there is NO TIME to get your FE. I barely have time to pull the plumbed fire bottle (it's a full on race car), flip the kill switch and get myself out.
and I am prolly way more flexible than most.
but if you want the look, yes, FE can look cool
however, don't try to use it. just g4t the hell out.
