If the car is located in the states I'd be happy to get you an estimate on the retrofit

Appreciate it, but the car is in Germany. I've found one local to me in the UK, so I'll see how that one pans out first.

Correct.

Also missing the Becker radio/Nav wonder if the V10 blanking plate where it would be is how they come from the factory ?

Yes, that’s the one.

No air con and no nav. Should be worth a fortune, you’d have thought Porsche Stuttgart would realize they have a unicorn. :-)

Indeed!

Whilst the radio/nav is nothing to miss at all, it could get a bit warm in there without ac. I'm sure all the pipework and hardware would drop into place no issue, just depends how much specific 980 tax is on it!

Good luck with your hunt.

The V10 etching there is 100% factory.

Have to admit I haven't really used my AC...I only use it now without the roof and on nice days. But I personally would never buy a car without A/C...just not worth it.

Yeah ... it's not nonsense to collectors. The rarity of specific options or lack thereof is what makes it more valuable. Low production cars with radio delete, AC delete etc. are far more rare and thus more valuable.

Fortunately for you, you will probably never need to know of what you speak.

Provide the data that radio or a/c delete is more valuable - owners with delete options didn't work out as you state.

That's a naive and specious request and if you really own the cars you claim then you know that.

Given two identical cars with less than 1,000 miles I can see why a collector may pay more for one with air con, nav delete.

However the car in question has 20k miles and is a car that will be driven, not collected, in this instance the car is worth less, as evidenced by its current asking price.

Pointless discussion as a car is only worth what someone will pay for it.
