^ huge labor hours sanded all the way to CF, repaint in and out.
leather re done
every piece of plastic covers in leather
the oak green metallic shimmers in real life way better than pic
the wheels are a complex process to polish. well it' snot polished as you can't do that to magnesium.
it's some silver deposited on the lips. they explained but I am too dumb to fully understand it.
lots of gold accents which looks strange in pic but in person it all made sense.
really something to behold.
and price... they basically told me politely if you need to know price, this aint for you.

I get the craftsmanship part. I don't get the color combo and gold and chrome. Maybe you're right it needs to be seen in person.
I do find it conflicting when we bash Salomondrin's rubystone CGT and sing psalms about something like this. They're both paint jobs. Just one got done in LA and another in Zuffenhausen
Me, I'd do neither. Keep it original and simple.

Paint job at a shop vs factory - guessing the factory will only take on a full restoration that begins at X dollar amount.

As CGT price climb higher, we will start to see more of these recommission builds. But I think we still got a long way to go before that happens more regularly.

My guess 3 - 400k and this example was 500+.
If guys are paying 75k for mechanical which blows me away and a fender bender lowers the cars value by 100k high mileage another 200k - it's not a bad economic decision for a factory fresh PTS assuming it's 3-400k.

The fact that Porsche themselves are already acknowledging the CGT as a verified "Classic" model and supporting it at this early stage in its lifespan is a very good thing for the car's future in general. The custom recommissioning thing is cool, but there is definitely a bigger picture here in terms of solidifying the model's future as a must-have modern classic.

I wonder if the factory has both a paint expert and trained CGT mechanic sitting idle - appears odd.
Would really like to know with full transparency more about this factory restored CGT.

^ it's an official program. they will do anyone's CGT, and literally do anything you want. the price tag is well, huge. don't be surprised that the cost to restore is more than the current avg value of CGT !
I asked.
can't afford it.
I saw the green restored car. it is AMAZING. the pic does not do it justice.
