Default 1/5 Weissach 918 in Guard's Red

I'm not generally one for red cars, but wow, does Guards Red really make this 918 pop. And the fact that it's Weissach-equipped makes it even sexier. Check out more pics of this baby here. I'm curious as to how much it'll fetch, but a shame it's only been driven 525 miles! Hopefully the new owner will stretch its legs!

If I had my way, I'd opt for a blue, but I don't think that's in any danger of happening...

This is a beauty. Don’t know how people can own something like this and not drive it!

Too collectible, no time, too many other cars. Forgot they bought it, failing health. Many reasons. Best not to speculate.

As in good price, or too expensive? Seems reasonable to me.

Expensive.

Even in auctions, 1.9 all in is 1.7-ish hammer price, and the price is not up there anymore, market is going soft. A McLaren P1 only fetches 1.5 lately, how can a 918 command 1.7?

If a 918 is 'pristine' like never, seldom driven, expect the car to spend about 6-8 weeks in the shop for updates and recalls. Most of that time will be waiting for parts from Germany, while the car is in pieces.

A regularly driven car should already have all the updates and campaigns done.

They may have bought it for the maid, and the maid don't like it any more.

Wow...1.9M? Crazy talk but let's hope he gets it...it only increases the values of all Porsches.

I didn't know that P1s were so cheap, maybe because of the Senna and MSO HS. CJ is listing one at 2.1 and similar 918s are listed for 1.9. I do agree with your view as you are probably one of if not the most knowledgeable 918 owners.

Considering the red 918 didn't sell at gooding recently, the cars are coming out of warranty and it's not PTS...whoopsy caught my drift. I have a customer with a white Weissach delivery mile car and the owner wants over 2

Technically the cheapest p1 sold for 1.68 w/ fees but it was silver which is a very unsuccessful resale color for anything but an F1 in macland

918 red at gooding was a base car no sold at 1.55 would have been 1.7 w/ fees for base

There was some behind the scenes dealing on that car between the auction house and the seller. The buyer got a deal, no doubt, but the circumstances are not at all repeatable or indicative of the general P1 market...
