Carrera GT as an investment
I am planning to purchase a Carrera GT as a future investment. I do believe that it will go up in price in the near future. I did my research on most topics but am still seeking some answers.
I will either buy one in EU or US. I was planning to get one in EU since it is closer to where I live (Istanbul, Turkey), and that it would be easier to travel one a month to check on the car and maybe take a drive around the block. Buying one in US would be a lot harder to maintain, BUT
1. The price of a Carrera GT in EU compared to US is much more expensive. Although most of these collectible Supercars have similar pricing worldwide, the price gap for CGT in EU and US got my attention. What do you guys think of the reason? A car with 5.000 miles in US is about %20-%25 cheaper than a 30K mile car in EU
2. I read in some articles that the lower the mileage on the car, the riskier it is because of the car sitting in a garage for too long. I heard people tend to buy higher mileage cars compared to those having 1.000 miles only
3. My plan is to purchase a Silver CGT with Black Interior (since I believe that would be the most valuable one). I know this car had a lot of options to purchase when brand new. Is there any option that you guys think is a MUST TO HAVE when buying one as an investment.
4. I called Allstate and Geico in US to get an Insurance quote. Allstate quoted me $3500ish per year but the quote stated "BOXSTR/CARRERAGT" as the car model so I was not sure on what I got quoted for. Geico quoted me $4200 and it did only say "CARRERA GT". Do these insurance premiums make sense? I was expecting something a lot more than that? (By the way, these quotes are not for minimum coverage. They were like at least 100.000/300.000 and included Uninsured Motorist etc)
5. I remember reading something about the 2004 or earlier cars having a problem with the carbon clearcoat getting yellowish with the UV light and that this issue was fixed with a new special clearcoat used in 05 cars. Anyone know anything about this? Anything else that got changed or upgraded during production run?
Hope to hear back on all

Thank you everyone for the responses.
I'd also like to hear from other people who can actually understand the reason of this topic.
I will not be locking down the car for years. Of course it will be track driven although not daily
For those who are more serious, I was away from the Porsche scene after I sold my 993 GT2 and the Carrera GT was never a topic of study, so I need answers to decide where to buy the car from (US and EU) and which car to buy.
EU has more tracks and it is closer to me so I will be easier to maintain and access but the cars are %20 more expensive compared to US.
I am a car enthusiast and at the same time, I am a businessman so I am just doing my homework
I am not trying to buy a painting and hang it on my wall. I believe the topic confused everyone but who wouldn't want to get the most for their money

Better yet buy life insurance die and let your loved ones buy two.
Go get the best silver / black one owner money can buy - insure it for the track enjoy it chances are you will never sell it - that's the best advice for a CGT investor I can offer.

of course I will drive the car on the track. Like I said, I do not want to buy a painting and hang it on my wall.
I want to buy it, enjoy it, and keep it believing it would be worth more money. Besides, who wouldn't want to put their heads on the pillow knowing you own a CGT
I am still seeking the answer. Although most collectible cars are worth pretty much the same price in US and EU, why does CGT a lot cheaper in US? Is there any difference in the build? Like the 997.2 GT2RS not having the seats as the EU ones?
Is it because out of like 1200 of the CGTs built, around half of it is in US so is it because of the number of the cars?
What to look for when buying one other than the mechanical PPI ? For example that carbon clear coat thing I mentioned. I heard the 2005 models have a different clear coat which prevent the yellowish look

US owners feather dust while boast about low mileage and as a result CGT owners tend to sell right before their odometer hits a mark that lessens the value.
