Cool Le Mans memorabilia from grandpa’s collection.
Thought y’all might get a kick out of this.
My late grandfather worked in Hollywood but always loved cars, racing and Porches. During his career he met a guy named Ray Summers who also worked in the industry as a wardrobe director.
Ray went on to do the costume/wardrobe work for the Steve McQueen movie, Le Mans and through this friendship my grandfather was able to get some very cool pieces used in the the filming of the movie.
Probably the highlight is one of the two Gulf jackets used during the filming of the out of car scenes for McQeen’s character!
I think I will eventually be looking to sell this collection so any recommendations on auction houses would be appreciated!

I would sell them relatively soon, the "McQueen Mania" generation is aging out fast.
As far as auction houses, Gooding & Company, RM Sotheby's and Barrett-Jackson are who I would speaking with.
