How much discount on used 17' Macan GTS?
Hi guys,
I've come across a couple different listings for a used 17' Macan GTS well optioned. I've read on the forum that people have reported getting anywhere from %6-10% on new 17' Macan GTS models. And I'd like to get an idea of how much discount I can realistically expect to get on a used 17' Macan GTS.
So this one listing has a sticker price of $82K with 11K miles. Dealer's listed price is $75K, which frankly seems a bit high. I don't like using KBB/Edmunds because they tend to overinflate the trade in prices and resale values.
So my thinking is that the initial owner probably got a 8% (conservatively speaking) discount, which puts the SOLD price at $75,440 ($82,000 - 6,560 = $75, 440). That means the dealership probably got it traded in at $65K. I used a SWAG method (Scientific Wild *** Guess) to come up with this number.
Am I on the right track? Please feel free to correct me if I'm assuming something wrong.
Your insights would be appreciated.

Seems about right, except that I think trade-in was closer to $60k than $65k.
CPO warranty would add ~3.5k (IIRC which I probably don't) to dealer cost. But, '17 probably being sold with balance of original warranty.

I had that GTS on my watch list as well How much were you able to discount from the advertised price if you don't mind sharing?
Thank you

Yes, that is the one. First, I had a tentative transaction in place with another dealer in MKE. They already gave me a value on my 911 trade (about 5K more than I got offered in FL about a month earlier when the Macan "sale stop" occurred). Was looking a a 16 Turbo with similar miles. Gave them my best offer and didn't budge. Initial price for the GTS was about what we settled on. Only they CPOed the car.
Really like the technology in the GTS with the Porsche Connect Plus. Also like having a 5+ year, 100k warrantee with the air suspension. Not much of a fall off in handling from the C2.

So is the 6-10% pretty accurate on the new GTS's from what most have seen? I'm just starting my search and will probably end up with doing a build as I don't think I'll find just what I want as a CPO....that CPO warranty is nice though.
Even though we haven't talked hard numbers, I brought it up in a round about way to the salesperson as to what kind of deal typically could we be looking at.....his numbers weren't anywhere near 6% and certainly not 10.
Thinking of coming up with my final build and shopping it around to the other dealers....any thoughts or suggestions?

Who's got 10% on a new GTS? Maybe some markets but I can say I've run the gauntlet on seeing what dealers will discount, and 10% is out of the question for them. Maybe on leftover '17's? Not on '18's, most not even close.

I just negotiated 9.5% off a leftover 17 GTS with an MSRP of 85K. I thought that was a decent deal. Pick it up in a week. Looking forward to it. Sapphire blue, PTV+ and some desirable options...

I received a 12% discount off MSRP on Saturday on a 2017 Macan S with a MSRP of $73,100.

8.75% on a brand new remaining '17 GTS (40 miles on it). Had to go out of state to get it. Was offered 8% off a brand new '18 GTS from a local Chicago dealer but was far more heavily optioned than I cared for. I don't think that is typical, but they seemed like they were being aggressive in order to poach me from another local dealer and because they knew I was in the market for a car immediately.
