Gas Mileage - Macan S

Gas Mileage - Macan S
What kind of mileage are you guys seeing in your Macan's? I'm thinking about one as my daily, but I do 150 miles per day. Mostly highway of course. I can live with a 24mpg average - but I'm curious what your really seeing.
Thanks

Doubt you will get 24mpg average. Given your driving habits, there's a diesel Macan coming for the 2016 model year (fall 2015?). That is an excellent power train. I drive 20k yearly, 80% highway and I am waiting for the diesel Macan...currently drive a Touareg TDI. I average 26mpg and I suspect the diesel Macan to average 29-30mpg.

I do 26.5K per year and I've been waiting on the Diesel. But we don't know what the pricing will be relative to the S and right now given the price disparity on Diesel versus Gas, the economics are far from clear. The base Cayenne with the naturally aspirated 6, does pretty well on the highway too, apparently.

Yeah, the disparity is pronounced now. Typically, diesel pricing here is fairly flat year-round, though it has gone down recently. If you are just doing the math, it will take 3-4 years to break even on the premium for the diesel option.
My guess is the diesel will be $4k more than the gas V6. For me, it is about the driving experience and the diesel offers a good mix of performance and mileage. I went from a V8 to a V6 turbo diesel and find the torque amazing.

That is the dilemma. I spend 3 hours a day in my car commuting to and from work each day, and like most of you I have a relatively stressful job. Like Fincher the driving experience ( performance, comfort, sound, amenities ) for me make the difference of my driving adding to the stress or time to decompress. So for these reasons and for safety a smaller econo car / hybrid is not an option for me.
From a pure economics standpoint its somewhat of a mute point. The difference between 21mpg avg versus 26mpg in a gas car is $100/month (assuming $3.50/gallon) and I'm fortunate that this isn't a meaningful sum for me. I struggle with the idea of at what point my fuel consumption just makes me an A-hole. I like the idea of a diesel - and I like the idea that diesels should be capable of higher mileage but the inconvience of finding diesel fuel could be annoying. Oh well - maybe I'll just get a Macan S and think about how I solve this issue on the next car.

Have a Q5 TDI and rarely do I go below 30mpg with all kinds of driving. See low to mid 30's on highway. Can't imagine why diesel Macan should be any different.
Never any real issue finding diesel these days, been on several longer trips to and from AZ and to Austin F1 race...
Thinking of replacing Q5 in a couple years with Macan diesel but no hurry as I love the Q5.

I drove to our cabin yesterday, 218 miles round trip, half on freeway and half on two lane highways (lot's of passing). I barely averaged 18.3 mpg .
I should note that the speed limit was 75 mph and I never exceeded that ... cough cough
