Default Full Width Apple CarPlay HD

Just had Innovative Soft install their full width HD CarPlay in my 2020 S, and was very pleased with the process and results. They're a Rennlist vendor and can be found in that section of the forum and at their website.

It's all done via PC, and Raymond was very well prepared, helpful and patient.

Highly recommended and I have no affiliation with Innovative Soft.

Fully installed. Their HD option gets the icons to the larger size. Looks better IMHO.

This is great. Does anyone know if this has been fixed in later model year Macans?

Yes, I'm almost certain it was fixed in '22s...perhaps even '21s but am uncertain.

I would imagine that there's a way to reverse it as it's just software...you can go to Innovative Soft's website and ask them.

All I know is that I have no reason or desire to reverse it. Love it.

I also have had it done on my 2023 Macan. About 30 min by laptop and text. If you want to reverse, same process remote uninstall.

Very pleased with this upgrade. Raymond was great to work with.

ok, price looks like $650? I have a taycan, wife has a 2020 macan, the macan and taycan screens are similar size. the taycan is almost full screen and really great with CarPlay. the macan... is TINY. Honestly its borderline dangerous trying to use it and hit / see buttons...

I never really noticed till I drove her macan after several months!

Seems like an easy update. Ford did the update to my Super Duty. However, it lets you shrink to normal or expand to full screen so if you want to see other apps you still can. So sometimes I use full screen but other times, I run normal screen to have access to the audio/radio station controls.

Looks great and will reach out to Raymond!

Is there any functionality that you lose? Also, does the update make wireless Airplay a bit more stable as a whole?

No loss in functionality, but I suggest going for the higher res update with larger app icons.
