2022 Macan GTS Order is In - Critique my build
Put in an order for a 2022 Macan GTS today. Still have time to make changes so here is my build, take a look and let me know any thoughts from the braintrust on changes. I am #1 on the list with my dealer to get their first 2022 GTS allocation. They are telling me allocations will be released in November, Build date expected to be Jan/Feb 2022 and Delivery expected to be April 2022....Notwithstanding any pandemic delays.

Save some money and cancel the LKA. I tried it on a no traffic 80 mph limit freeway in UT. First time, drifted to the left, second to the right. Third was in the right lane, had hands off and it took me into an exit because that's where the painted line went. Told the sales guy I felt like a beta tester.
ACC on the other hand, love it.
I'm somewhat deaf, so the Burmester is lost on me.
Have experienced AS in previous cars, so would have had that. Great for canyon carving and cruising alike.
Edit: That papaya is growing on me. The epitome of fun in a car color.
ACC on the other hand, love it.

As a music enthusiast I listened to the Bose and it sounded terrible (even with tweaking the setting as recommended)...as does the Bose in my 2020 GT4 (but that's not the purpose of the GT4).
Agree on the LKA...I included it because of resale and it's a cheap option. Maybe I will delete it....thanks for the reminder there.
Agree on ACC...will never own a car again without it.

Regardless of climate I suggest the “thermal/insulated glass”..... low price and worth it!
Also re: deviated stitching....NICE touch on the black but there should be more extra add-on individual options for MORE interior PCs to get the stitching!
i don’t know exactly what’s in the package u chose but I would be surprised if it’s “ enough”....steering wheel?...top border of dash?.... seats all-around?...
console parts?
You may want MORE
Suggest looking into it further unless Macan build doesn’t offer in same way my 911 did

Nick:
forgot to mention PAPAYA IS OUTSTANDING (literally too!!)
as a Mamba Green owner the compliments should equal the zillions I receive.....
i would say get the optional glass....
u can always get a professional guy to add more tint if necessary
if u r an audiophile , the extra degree of quiet will nicely enhance theBurmeister Experience!!

Thanks for the tips on the glass and Burmeister sound. Didn't think of that.

Nice build for sure though I am too reserved for a bright color these days, that said I like it. I just took delivery of my 2021 GTS (chalk) and I am REALY glad I got the thermally insulated glass. Shades up in back and it was not bad when I returned to the car after two hours in 99 degree heat today. Also, the acoustic aspect is a big deal especially with the stereo upgrade. I assume that race-tex headliner is standard on the new GTS, I love it and worth the upgrade for my car.
I regretted not getting the trailer hitch option just so I could stick a big ugly hitch on it to protect at least one end of the car from parking idiots!

Does anyone know why the Sport Chrono **** has "Drive Mode" written on it instead of mode letters with led light that indicates the selected mode? Like it is on 2021 Macans. It's bugging the hell out of me. I don't want just "Drive Mode" written on my 2022 Macan S.

Thanks for the suggestion. I considered the thermal glass option but my dealer sort of discouraged it b/c he says people still want tint as the front windows are not tinted much with it. Maybe I should reconsider it. How do you think it compares to just having tint applied?

Nice build!
As others have said, I’d drop the LKA.
Any rear seat passengers? I’d option the rear side airbags (not sure if this is a standard option for US cars?).
I had Burmester in my 992 and have Bose in my Macan. Whilst the Burmester is better I wasn’t overly blown away by it especially with the price difference, perhaps the sound insulated glass will help to elevate it more over the Bose.
Look forward to seeing pictures of the new car when it arrives!
