Default Ready to Order a 2020 But Have 2 Concerns

Speccing out a 2020 S but have two concerns. One: Is the Timing Cover oil leak problem a large enough concern to NOT order a Macan? Two: Has anyone ordered the Insulated glass and has had cell reception problems?

Thought they changed the engine with the new Macan S?

I ordered the insulated glass and pick it up on 2 July in Germany. Did a lot of research and found it to be a non-issue. I'll let you know after the 2nd of July how it is.

Yes, different engine but as an early adopter of the 95B.2 gen, you'll be the proverbial guinea pig for any problems that may surface with that gen. Hopefully none of course, but that remains to be seen.

We sure did! Great experience and the Chalk looks amazing. Tomorrow we head for the Black Forest then Salzburg, Garmisch, the Ruf Factory and then back to Stuttgart for a

few days.

I have the insulated glass on my 2018 and have not noticed any abnormal phone reception. Also, the car seems only slightly quieter than my previous Macan with the standard glass (but it is noticeable).

No cell phone issues either with voice reception or data reception even stuffed inside the center console.

Very quiet cruising the Autobahn at 135 mph. Very quiet starting the engine. We like it. We have the 991 with sport exhaust and X51 for noise. We also went with no panoramic roof to keep the heat and noise down in Alabama.

And it looks good in the German Alps near Berchtesgaden!

Tomorrow we are back to Stuttgart but not before visiting the Ruf factory in Pfaffenhausen for a tour. Hopefully Alois is there and he will sign my Panorama from a few months ago that had some great articles on him.

I have an issue with the insulated glass. I live in a condo and the garage gate access works off of my toll tag. The reader in the garage cannot pick up the tag!
