Default 2018 vs. 2019 Android question

I am looking to pull the trigger once the speculation is confirmed that Android Auto will finally be coming for the 2019MY Macan.

My local dealer could not confirm the aforementioned, however stated that 2018 Macans already have Android, it merely has to be activated by the dealer.

This runs contrary to everything that I've read about lack of Android in the current MY...any owners running it with their present Macan?

Thanks, Al

Many thanks for the responses...I guess car sales people, even at Porsche, are universal in saying anything to make a sale.

I doubt there will be Android in Porsche cars so long as Porsche has privacy concerns about Android. What are those? I have no idea

Android support apparently in 2019 model, I guess the lucrative apple exclusive $$$ ran out with the original model and the masses can enjoy integration finally, although most have found a car mount that suits them by now anyway.

"the most significant update of the 2019 Macan regards the infotainment system and the new Connect Plus module that allows online functionality."

I'm not sure what Porsche-speak for "online functionality" means...still not seeing the magic word Android anywhere yet...
