Lower non Air Macan S
Last 4 cars were corvettes so while I love the new perspective on the road I would really love to get rrid of about 1.5-2" of gap between the wheels and the body. What are my alternatives? There is probably a coil over option but did not want to deploy those and have the expense....thanks
This is a non air ride vehicle by the way....thanks

Seems as though coil overs would be the best option. Going strictly shorter sport springs would always result in compromised ride quality
(hence the advantage to coil overs!). Besides, if you go with shorter sport springs, you'd need to change the dampers as well to avoid a
'bouncy' ride resulting from a spring/shock mismatch.
I know - they're more expensive - and for good reason - they're a better solution.
You've already spent significant $ on the vehicle, why cut corners on a suspension modification?

I ordered Bilstein PSS10 coilovers for $1895 shipped from Race Consulting Agency literally an hour ago. Speaking from past experience, you want the dampers to match lower and stiffer springs. Plus the adjustable ride height and 10-click damping makes them well worth the cost to me. I want the suspension to match the versatility of this car. KW makes coilovers for the Macan as well.
If you have PASM steel suspension then you would need the Damptronic coilovers, which are about $1k extra IIRC.

Thanks for the input...coming off the Gen 3 Magnetic system from Chevy ( Gen 6 camaro SS and C7 Corvette G-Sport) I am spoiled. All good points on the coil overs ....any idea what costs are for install .....would I need a new alignment ?

I had coil-overs installed on an E90 BMW a few years ago and, including the mandatory alignment (since the suspension was now lowered),
parts & labor ran about $3000. It took several hours to perform the removal of the original suspension components and installation and
adjustment of the new coil-overs and the alignment adjustments.

We installed the H&R lowering springs on ours well over a year ago and couldn't be happier. The ride is not objectionable, the drop really helps the look as well as making the entry and egress for my 5'-1" tall wife much easier. I did have the alignment checked after the installation and the toe was still within spec. Tire wear is normal.

Check out the KW HAS kit. Same as what a lot of the Audi Q5/SQ5 guys are running. I ran the same on my girlfriends Audi Allroad, and its a great, reasonably priced setup.
