I'm not aware of any monthly fee for Porsche Connect (required for Apple CarPlay). Are you referring to Connect Plus?

Whatever that thing is that's beyond basic radio or satellite radio that has the monthly fee. It's included in other manufacturers cars for free, such as with BMW.

With AT&T, turning your iPhone into a mobile hot spot costs about $10/month, IIRC. For CarPlay and with that hot spot, you don't need to pay AT&T for extra connectivity.
