I was referring to the bearing in which the journal rotates in. For example, I noticed one of them has a lot of play compared to the other which is nice and stiff. When I say a lot of play i mean i can shake the rod in my hand and the swivel journal will clank back and forth.
Not sure I understand: The rod end is part #38 in the diagram. The PMNA part # is 997.331.248.9A.
The item in your picture does not look like the Hirschmann part that PMNA uses, and if it is, it has seen better days. It will have an X just above the threads and say Hirschmann on both sides
That should NOT flop around, the spacers should also not move around. If the rod end is just clanking around, I would suggest buying another. They are ~ $78.00 from your favorite PMNA parts vendor. I will likely be buying 2 of these myself...
It is a Hirschmann bearing in there, as that is what is in the opposite side and also on my brand new front toe links. The spacers dont move, but part #39 defintely rotates way more freely than the others . See video for what I mean:
That is not the part I thought it was. At least the part # you provided is for the 14mm rod end that is used on the tie rod ends.
Those bearings are pretty stiff when new. When you buy them you get the bearing & race as a package as seen in Rickard's pictures. Up to you if you want to reuse, but I would replace. There are other forms of this which had a bolt coming out of the end - see other diagram:
