Default Camshafts

Any one knows the diffrence between the 2007-2009 997 cups exhoust camshafts and the 2010-2012 997 cups..

I do not know the difference, but if it may help, the 3.8 exhaust cams were also used on the cup S 3.6 application, with a larger exhaust.

The 997.2 Run a higher lift exhaust exhaust..(same as Cup S )
Also run a smaller inlet cam.

Don't know, but they are Porsche motorsport parts.. :-P

GCS sells CUP S camshafts and i also think there is a possiblity to regrind 07-09 cams to 2010 spec

i think the lift is

07-09 11,1mm
10-12 12,0mm

Memory serves correctly, the 997.1 uses the intake cam the same as the cup s, the 997.2 uses the exhaust cam same as the cup s.

So, the intake from the early 997 and the exhaust from the late 997 are the same as the cup S.

i have found a set from a street car super cheap, looking in to se if i could get them adapted to my super duper hybrid projekt

Problem is the street 3,8 gt3 have variocam so need to find out if i could maschine the camshaft to fit regular cam sprockets
