Default Value of a 2008/2009 Grand Am cup

Guys,

Trying to identify the value of a grand am cup as compared to a regular cup or a cup s.

What kind of collectability might it have and does that move the needle on the price.

Also, from Porsche, what differences were there between a cup and a grand am cup.

Thanks

Ed

Right now there is little difference in value between a Grand-Am and a normal '08 cup as neither can be used in pro racing anymore. The stock cup can be used successfully in GTC4 or SCCA GT2, the Grand-Am version can race in HSR and PCA GTA2 but competes against the R and RSR, so no serious racer will spend a lot for a modified cup now.

I hope this changes in the future, as 911 factory pro race cars with history have always gotten quite valuable, and only about ten GA cars were made per year. It would be cool to run one in vintage events in Europe.

Here is a 09 Grand Am cup car.

They are more valuable due to different ECU, wider wheel trac. larger tires, different shock set up,adjustable suspension,"Endurance brake package" & wide front body front fenders.

A Grand Am cup will continue to become more valuable/collectable & harder to find in the future.
