Digging up this old thread. Looking for a good condition 996 cup hood. Does anyone know of one available? Suggestion to cut a hole in a road car hood is good, but I thought regular 996 road car had a steel hood whereas the cup hood was aluminum?

I'm interested in an answer to this as well, I have to replace my bonnet due to lots of holes being drilled in it from lamp pod fitment.

I'm away from the car at the moment, are they alloy or steel from factory on a cup car?

Hi Rich, assuming yours is a factory cup hood? What is under the hood where the hood catch loop would normally go? Are there just vacant threads?

I have an extra OEM 996GT3RS carbon/kevlar hood if anyone needs one. The center is flat so it would be easy to cut a hole in it. Hood is very stiff and about 20 lbs lighter than stock steel Cup hood.
