Car clearly does not have it's original 3,6 RS engine anymore, nor it's h-pattern gearbox.
So this is not the car for the ones looking for a completely original car.
This car has been upgraded to the highest possible standard to be seriously fast and be able to compete on the highest level within it's class and has a track record of countless wins.
Cup cars had and have to remain stock in my opinion.
The R, RS and RSR cars have been designed to compete with other brand cars within various championships outside the Carrera Cup and Super Cup.
So they had to take it on with Ferrari, Corvette etc etc etc in race series where modifications were aloud. Think ALMS and World Endurance Series or VLN.
For that reason, modifying and upgrading these cars has been very common. Most of all current running R, RS and RSR cars have been upgraded to the latest possible specification available.
Replied all PM's just now. Sorry for delay. On vacation ;-)

Porsche has created Cup cars to compete in Cup series.
All the same cars, all restricted to stay stock.
In addition Porsche developed faster and more aggressive race cars that they named R, RS, or RSR.
These never competed in a Cup series and are therefore never called Cup R, Cup RS or Cup RSR but only GT3 R, etc etc etc. Not to be confused with street cars. The basis was indeed a Cup car platform but further developed. Bare in mind these machines are the fastest Porsche from that time and specifically this one, with 3,9 liter racing engine build by Mathey even more explosive. Combined with the sequential a serious weapon in the right hands. Not as easy to drive as 997 and much ore a hand full.
Watch Claykos video's (love them) and you get an idea how this machines will be like.
Thanks all
