Default Improving under car aero

Is there any advantages to replacing the plastic underbody/floor with a carbon fiber/honeycomb underbody floor?

It's just a matter of weight, no? Max savings of a 1-2 pounds for each panel so we're looking at say 5-10 tops?

There is a big aero advantage to a completely flat floor.

It's not so much about the weight but it's about replacing the plastic floor. the advantage to them is strength over plastic pieces
This will allow cleaner aero & better balance & adjustments, & help w/cooling utilizing the naca ducting. at speed the factory plastic stuff flexes
so isn’t working that well. this stuff stays completely flat.

I would wonder how fast you have to be going for the flex to make a difference.

Don't the Cup cars and the street cars use the same underbody bits?

Carbon art inc. they build a lot of parts for world challenge /grand am cars. They built the splitter that attaches to the chassis for truespeeds race cars. Cost for middle and rear floors including naca ducts is $3000-$3500
