Default Cheapest Cup

Hello Karl

I just saw a rough 07 997 Cup trade hands at $70k, its only good selling point was that we just rebuilt the gearbox ( $15k+ invoice) and replaced the clutch. Everything else on the car was dirty, worn, unknown miles, etc. Car had been in multiple small crashes with spotty repairs each time. On the other hand a much cleaner 08 997 Cup was recently sold for $90k ( 60 hours engine/gearbox hours not clear), but it was very original and had some solid mechanical history. Over here everybody is concerned with the engine rebuilds so that seems to influence the price greatly, next it seems people are concerned if it has been crashed hard. In general the 3.6 cars are at the low point right now and soon you will start seeing the prices go up for the nice ones. The influx of the Brazilian Cup cars has the 3.6 997 Cup market in the situation where supply is greater than demand.

Default What is 06 Cup Worth?

Hello Karl

I did not answer your question. Although I have never bought a car from you ( yet!) my impression of you is that you are a square-shooter. Your deals seems to go thru with both parties happy at the end. Right now I would think a 2006 997 Cup like you would present to me would be something I would sell for $80-$90k depending on engine hours and originality. Of course if the cars look cool they sell faster and for more money.

Another thing I have seen influence pricing is gearbox updates. If it has 2010 or 2012 wider loose fit dog gears its worth more. Original skinny '07-08 gears still in a gearbox will knock the price down quite a bit because the buyer will assume $10k plus in gearbox work in the near future.

Interesting. 06-07 Cup is about the price of a 07-08 street GT3.

Agree on above. Engine/tran hours, upgrades, damage history, total ECU/chassis hours, spares/extras, spec/non-spec. '06/'07:$65k-$90k
