I have three brand new gearsets that I am willing to sell for much less than I paid for them because they are just sitting around.
997 302 964 6D 21/32 1.52 third/fourth
997 302 965 6B 22/29 1.31 fifth/sixth
997 302 965 6A 23/31 1.34 fifth/sixth
$1200 for each gearset or $3000 if you buy all three
Many other good gearbox parts available - please inquire
Please contact Rodger@orbitracing.com with any questions

Hello
These are the narrow gears, as you noted the gears were widened in 2012. The actual width of the gears is 19.9 mm. They have the older press fit dog rings on them which can be removed and you can install the slip fit dog ring to use with the new style claw driver. As you also know there were two versions of the slip-fit dog ring, in 2009 it was the taller version ( overall height 9.8mm), then in 2010 the overall height went down to 9.2 mm.
I attached a picture showing an early press on dog ring and claw driver, the first taller slip fit dog ring, and a claw driver and shorter slip fit dog ring used in the later gearboxes. The gearbox is probably the most maligned component in the car. Now that there are blippers and paddleshift systems the failures we used to experience on a regular basis are seldom seen.
If anybody has a damaged sequential gearbox sitting in your garage I am a buyer.
I don't want to sound like I know everything about sequential gearboxes but there is one guy in the USA who does, it is my long time friend Brian Copans from BMC&G.

Are they from the old 06-07 997 box ..? If so they really hard to get .. In 08 my box needed a rebuilt and I struggled to get the smaller gears ..as the 08 box had bigger gears

You are right, the early boxes had a very narrow 16.6 mm wide 5/6th gear. Not sure when they went to the 19.9 , might have to get Brian involved for some real history of the 997 Cup sequential gearbox.
You can see in the picture that they were really narrow. I have never seen a narrow 5/6th break, even when we used them in 24 Hour races.

There are 4 generations. I call them early wide, skinny, 2010& 2012. Avoids confusion.
Had a customer order a "wide" 3rd for his 2008 last week. Sent him a 2012 gear. He really wanted a 2010 width gear. My bad for not asking.
Rodger,
I've been really sick. To answer your email, yes. You can call tomorrow and talk to Heather about them as I may not be well enough yet to work.
