Default ecu hrs vs motor hrs ?

I've noticed a discrepancy b/t lifetime ecu hrs (ltecu_w) and lifetime motor hrs (ltmot_w) between events. The interval ecu hrs is always greater than the interval motor hrs. Does Modas not count motor hrs below a certain rpm to avoid counting idling during service etc? (or have I completely misinterpreted the variables on the Lifetime/Cons(F6) tab in Modas?

definately ecu hours is hours on, not running. we sometiems do a lot of work on the cars with electronics, dash mounting, cameras, sensors and the car is powered on without running alot. thats not uncommon....

yet, it begs another question...i thought i had read that engine hours is engine hours above a certain RPM threshold so that the initial warmups that you do each day, etc. might not increment that value. thats the one im uncertain about. anyone know about that one?

I think that the counter you are referring to (and that doesn't count engine running time below a certain RPM) is the Motec "Engine log".
