Default Pirelli 305x680 needed

Anyone have a couple of used ones around going to do my first laps in car at a Sebring DE later this month and don't want to burn up the new set I just bought. Also can anyone who ran Sebring PCA race give me some cold pressures to start with and hot temps that worked well.
Thanks
Rich

I might have 2 new rear slicks in that size that I would sell at a significant discount.....

Don't mean to high-jack this thread but, since we are both running 2001 Super Cups my questions applies to both of us.....do the Pirelli 680 rears come into contact with the body ridges (where the tub and fender mate) inside the center of our rear wheel wells? Our cars originally ran 660s which are about 1/2 inch shorter in height. This may only be an issue for cars running lower than standard ride height...or not? (The Pirelli 680's are just a little taller than the Michellins 27/68 we have been running). Any one know? Again, sorry to interrupt your thread and hope you don't mind.

Ted and Rich

I was concerned at first, but we had about 8 Cup cars at Sebring, both 996 and 997. No tire clearance issues at all. If you have an aftermarket rear bumper (many do) you might need to trim the fender lip a bit, but that would be determined car by car. We even ran the Pirelli rain tires and they cleared fine also.

Thanks, Rich. That is good to hear. Do you remember if any of the 996 Cups were early cars? The story I was told is that the early 6 Cups (02 and earlier ?) have different rear wheel well ridge designs than later 6 cars. ( Maybe the change ties to when the Porsche Super Cup series changed from Pirelli to Michelin ?)

Thanks, again.

The early 996 Cups do have a narrower rear wheel opening. Many had the fenders rolled/banged out to provide the clearance to run the wider profile tires on the later 996 Cups.

I am guessing that width will not be an issue for me since the Michellin 27/68's that I have been running fit fine. (I am running the early narrower wheels).

If DH compound I was told by the Pirelli engineers that 32 is a good hot pressure. Worked well for me at those pressures as well.

Think I started them cold at 26.
