Maybe off topic but i would be interested to learn how you can tell the difference between e real cup, and a well prepped Carrera 2.

quite a bit as I went through this. Seam welds, different suspension, different clutch, different brakes, different hood, factory cage, automatic ABS cut off on dash, light weight glass on sides, lighter doors, much lighter car overall although no one I know has one that weighs on 1120 kg (IIRC), taller second gear on 92 cars; ECU behind seat (not under seat); different chip. There are more, but this is what readily comes to mind.

One of the biggest differences is weight. The converted U.S. cups that run in PCA class H are pigs compared to the Euro cups.

The modified C2 will probably have better suspension if has rr shocks, etc. But it is still a pig. The Euro cups are a blast to drive (just wish I was a better driver....)

Also a bit off topic. I remember when Porsche announced a US Carrera cup series for 1993. I ordered a car paid the $120k at the time if I remember correctly, backed out of my commitments to run a Firehawk season with another car. Only to have Porsche Sh!tcan the series and stick me with a car that took two years to unload at a whopping loss

great car to park in a collection. But that is about it for that price and mileage. not sure what else one could do with it other then devalue it?
