I'm going to replace the seat in my cup this year. Is there anything new out there that's better/safer or I should look at or just replace with another CF OMP??

If the mounting system is already there for an OMP why bother with possible fitment issues? OMP are terrific seats.

I agree and that's what I did however I really like the Recaro seat as well

OMP is great. personally though, i only use Recaro with the HAlos. i think their halos are thicker and closer to the helmet. the seat fits me better and i like the angles better. i read some review maybe about 18months ago talking about the strength of seats, and the recaro if i recall came out on top.

OMP is great, but i always change the OMP cup seats for the recaros.

^ i had omp cobar recaro racetech. now i run recaro hans exclusively from my race car to my street car and my tow vehicle ;-)

This is probably the best seat out there right now. Its the only one I would put in over an omp or "normal" recaro.

Mooty has a HANS Recaro in his tow vehicle...that's really quite scary I'm glad I live a long way away from SF! Be careful when you visit that area....

Great ideas for seats, I'm really tempted to just replace the OMP with another but some of this newer technology needs a closer look....

That´s the one they use in the 991 Cup... Love that seat! But it´s damn expensive... 5.650€ (Should be sth. around 6.000$)

If you want to see an expensive seat, check out a custom Hendrick carbon fiber seat. North of $10k but the safest seat made.
