Wet set up 996 Cup
Heading for the season finale tomorrow and it's going to rain all day.
What's a good set up for my 996 Cup with adjustable Sachs.
I have now:
Torsion bar front: 1 less then maximum soft
Torsion bar rear: maximum soft
Dambers bound 15 clicks,
Rebound i am not sure. Need to to those still.
Let me know your experience

Go all the way soft on compression for sure, as well as torsion (sway) bars.

Just so i get it right:
So i could have a dry set-up with the torsion bars at the first whole. Maximum stiffness.
When it would rain, can I just disconnect one side only ?
Is that the same effect as putting the bars on both sides to their loosest position ?

No disconnecting the sway bar, removes the bar effect completely= full soft

Full soft with the sway bar disconnected is softer than "full soft" with the drop links in the furthest hole away from the bar. One side attached and one side disconnected provides ZERO load on the sway bar, you keep one link connected so it rides along in it's proper location. It has the same effect on the suspension as removing the bar completely.

Thanks Jerry. What would you advice for the best rain set-up:
FULL SOFT (all drop links on the furthest whole) or ZERO load (disconnect one side) ?

If you have rain tires on, the best setup would be one link disconnected front and rear. My understanding is that the tires work harder and build up more heat thus more grip.
