Thanks. I should be going down there soon. I might fly in and drive it but leave it there for a bit. My condo in Miami is under contract and if that goes through I need to go move my stuff out.
With the support of Rodger at Orbit it might make more sense to store it there, let him service it and fly in and out to drive it. Then once I feel fully capable have it shipped up to the Midwest. We only have 1 track close by and 3 others several hours away. So easier access to track time down there.
It seems like a good car and Orbit seems reputable. If I searched for a while I might have found a car that was a few K cheaper but not with the support and ease of purchase behind it.

I think Your trans will be fine under the update backdate rule it will be legal. The wing uprights need to go back to stock. The 5 lug wheels should be legal as long as they are 9's and 11's.
I have a 1.5 hour PMNA motor I keep as a spare that would be perfect for Your car and also have the uprights should You need them.
Enjoy!

Only the several Grand Am spec cars have the 5 bolt hubs. Grand Am liked everyone to change wheels slowly like in NASCAR but this year they allowed center locks with a small penalty ( one less crew member?)

This car has a center lock nut but tapered studs in the hub. It may not be as pretty but it is probably strong and may allow for other 5 hole wheels to be used. Anybody know?
So only a few Cup cars have this set-up? Most have splined hubs and wheels?

Ive been offered this car.
My shop is Orbit.
If I did not prefer a regular vintage 996 manual this is the car.
Rodger has declard me nuts for not buying this car and he's right.
I been trying to get to the orbit invitations to drive 996 next to 997, but just no time.
You bought very well congrats!

Thanks. Nice to hear. You must be the guy Rodger told me he called to say you better jump now or it might be gone. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Originally I was told it was a 2009 but once he looked up the ser# it is a 2008. Or it's a 2009 made at the end of 2008. I'm not sure. So far I can't find any differences until the 2010 cars. 2010 and up are better in some respects but that means more money. This should hold me a few years until the 991 Cups come down in price. Who knows, I tend to not sell things like this and may just keep it. It may be all I ever need.
From some numbers I got from the Porsche archive they made a lot less 08 Cup cars then in later years. I wonder if that will help them hold their value any better?

Here is a nice little vid. Not sure what year it is. He says 400hp so maybe a pre 08 car.
Also here is a pic of the 2013 Cup brakes. No splined wheel. Guess they figured out studs are better.![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
