If the car doesn't have an auto-blipper (don't remember), have one fitted and correctly set up !

The Motec VCS is quite expensive, but must be very nice with the integration of the datas. I use a video VBOX system, linked too the CAN bus of the car to get the RPMs, engaged gear... It is way less expensive and you don't need to work on your vids afterwards. Just remove the memory card and copy the MPEG video file, done.

I do not think that the Motec upgrades or unlock are very necessary for the first outings, except maybe for the brake sensors.

I would begin with second hand tyres if you plan to experiment the braking power and the lack of ABS...

Have fun ;-)

Francois, I ended canceling out of RA. Had some upkeep on the Cup that needed attention and went a little over budget. Decided to save my money for the fall and winter at Sebring. Headed to NJMP this weekend and then to Summit and off to Sebring for the Oct 13-14 Chin with Rob and his new ride. Hope to see you soon. Have fun and be safe at RA.

Thanks Stu. It would have been fun, but I understand. For me it's the Glen then RA, then a bunch of Mosports in the Fall, and maybe a Chump race if I can find a seat for our local races.

After you've completed your PCA CR application and done the medical and once it's signed off, Susan Shire will schedule a one-on-one interview with you over the phone.

She is the BOSS of all Bosses and has the inate ability to sniff out BS from new racers, but also truly understands what it is all about and loves what she does.
