Default 996 clutch/pressure plate questions

Hey Guys ... gears were a little notchy/stubborn last time out and at the end of the day
car didnt want to go into reverse. Clutch doesn't feel like its the issue tho:
- takes low down
- doesnt slip

Had the clutch lines bled 2x today and gears feel better but not feeling perfect
so question is .... what could be happening?
1. some gunk in the clutch fluid?
2. leak in the master clutch cylinder?
3. damage to the PP?

Apologies if those might be naive questions - have gladly avoided much clutch problems before!

Planning to power bleed fluid and replace it all tomorrow ...
else drop engine & gb and have a look .. would appreciate any guidance folks
many thanks!

Matt

I'd look into shift cable alignment and/or replacement. Replacement shift cables can make a huge difference if the originals have stretched.

It will likely be a hurt pressure plate if stock clutch. If Tilton then it was adjusted too far and now pressure plate is ruined...

thanks guys - dropped the GB and the stock PP is beginning to broke - will post pics.
Luckily have a stock Sachs set already. Wouldn't mind a tilton again if I didnt have this PMS orig.

Perma - how long do the cables take to stretch? can they be measured or how would you establish they need replacing?

Likely true G - in went new bearing, PMS Sachs clutch & PP - glad I bought them a while back
And ali welding some of the coolant hoses while the engine is out
But they're all looking solid ATM

Sadly don't have a spare RSR breather lying around
Any other suggestion?!
