MOTEC ADL 2 failure
Two weeks ago whe had a problem with the 997 cup ADL in one of my friends car,
during the practice session his ADL screen went all green and only the dimmer is working now. The I2 don't recognize the motec and it smells burnt inside.
So i think we have to buy a new one but i don't want to burn it when refitting in the car, do you know what we have to check ( wiring loom ? ) before trying the new one ???
Any ideas ?

If you send dash to Motec they can normally advise you what went wrong and ultimately if there was a short in the chassis harness that caused the issue and if so what wires to check...

Laurent : I hope so ! Thanks to Dave, I will soon have a new ECU that will (it is an invocation !) do the trick. But no Roscar for me, I fear. It will be the first rolling test (and we initially were in Lurcy to test a repair to the Gearbox...)
@Dave : The problem with Motec/Porsche in Europe is that we are stuck with Brückle Motorsport that tells the law on the market. Motec Europe refuses to support parts distributed by PM. Guess the price of an ADL2 sold by Porsche...
The response on this one was : Motherboard fried, never seen this, don't know what happened. Can repair for "argh, ouch, it hurts".

Wow... yeah.. we deal with MOtec Australia and they are extremely helpful... may be worth contacting them and just not letting them know where you are from... Omar there in Tech Support is extremely helpful!

I have also tried to write to the sales department to discuss about this "partnership", but nothing came back...
