Default Supercup Laptimes Compare

Interesting.

Track: Barcelona

2013: Sean Edwards Pole in 991 SuperCup = 1,49664 (dry)

And here the past 10 years.

Looks like laptimes between 996, 997 and now 991 Supercup cars are not that different.
2003 and 2004 (996 SuperCup) are as fast as this years 2nd place. Or has the track changed after every new model introduction ?

.

Don't know the exact timing of it - but there were pretty major changes to the circuit sometime recently. They added a chicane and slowed down the final complex significantly....

According to this some changes in 04 and then pretty big change in 07. At least for F1 - not sure if super cup runs the same config?

I believe they are now using Michelin N2's (vs last years N1's), which are apparently a bit slower... but last a bit longer.
