Nuts! An xcercise in butt clenching! Are the wet lines completely different to dry ones?
Any other tricks for surviving that? Ps - how much slower are your wet times from normal there?

hi,
i never fiound a real difference between usual lines and so called wet lines, the black 7cup was closing all the doors .... In Dijon i was lapping 1'28'00 with my 964 3.8 clone on dry , 1'25'932 with the 7 cup on my first race last year , and 1'38'637 this race with the michelin rain tyres ! Really slow , but the best pro driver was 4 secs faster !!!!
With a weather like this , your best friends will be Rain-x yellow and black ( anti fog ).

First of all, try antifog on the windscreen.......
you don't need to unscrub the Michelin rain tyres, it will be done during the first lap , the most important is to have the right cold pressure, which for me is around 1.5 bars ( don't know that in PSI ), you will adjust this pressure after the qualif laps.
You need to heat the brakes and the tyres as usual in the warmup lap .
Dont forget to adjust the antiroll bars to the softer position. ( on my 964 I used to have them off when raining ).
Regarding the race line i have never found that outside was better than the usual line, you have to try it if you have free practice before qualif.
Be soft with the steering and enjoy.... The Michelin rain tyres are really good .
Be safe.

I *love* Dijon! My very first track experience, in a 993 Cup no less! Thanks to Gunther Chrzanosski for a GREAT weekend. Gunther is an AWESOME driver. And his son Robin is following very well in his Dad's footsteps!

it went from very wet quali to moist first race then very wet before the second race ...
but dry for the race ... so a bit like quali in Montreal yestrday
i went out with 1.5 and came in with 1.9 fr, 2.1 back on the wets ... which worked well
will upload some vid tonight ... result:
I lost against this beast with 600 hp in the first race (one of only 2 PMS assisted 934 replicas)
.... but made up for it in the second to win B
Rain-x was key in quali
times were 10s of the dry pace
