I have heard horror stories about cup doors coming off at speed on the 996 cup.
Is this still a problem on the 997.1 cup cars?
If so, does anyone have any pictures or recommendations on how they have gone about replacing the pins with a bolt or other locking mechanism?
Thanks.
Steve

The pins are threaded and receive a male hex head or bolt, pretty small but can't remember size. Put in bolt, door no fly away....![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Put in hood pins, no need to replace hood, roof, windshield.... Well you get the idea. Second one hurts, first one I've yet to experience. Now I just need to remember to check doors in my new early outlaw 6 cups...lol

The 7Cup doors actually come off much easier then the 6Cup So check those bolts!!
For the hood I always install the street safety catch 100 bucks and 2 minute install
a true no brainer

Add checking the door bolts to your track prep list. The DO fall out! The ones that come with the car have a special head. Regular 6 mm bolts don't seem to stay in place as well as the original ones.
