If you don't have boxes big enough, simply make circular cardboard cutouts and tape them to both sides of the wheels to protect the aluminum. The tires will protect the rest.

I have shipped them as is with a label taped to each tire. 4 cup car wheels and tires without problem. No packaging.

I simply go to the UPS store in town. They will wrap the tire/wheel combo and attach the shipping label onto each.

Easy.

I would recommend simply putting them all atop of each other and strapping them down to a pallet. We just did this and shipped them through Fed Ex Freight with no issues.

usually cheapest to do it in bundles of 2 (1 front, 1 rear). If you do all 4 together UPS hits you with a big oversize package charge. Cut out some cardboard to protect the faces of the wheels and put them on the inside if they don't hit each other. Wrap them really good with strong packing tape and you are good to go.

I did the cardboard cut outs, bubble wrap, and then a moving blanket and lots of tape. Works great.
