996 Cup Exhaust
Hi ,
I'm looking for some information about the 996 cup exhaust .
My 996 cup has got an M&M exhaust with a Left en Right muffler .
Its a nice looking system but looks too heavy , headers/cats/side mufflers ....
I tried looking for some pictures of a stock 2004 996 cup exhaust but could not find it . Is a stock one ,header to central muffler (wich has got the cats integrated) or does it also has got side mufflers ?
What kind of DB's makes the oem cup exhaust ?
My plan was to buy some 997 headers/cats and then put a sharkwerks race pipe (or something) so no central muffler .
Or will this be too loud , a system around 105 DB would be perfect .
Thanks

you might want to look at an alternative to a 996 Cup center muffler, they are about $4,00 + us.
I believe the stock 996 cup exhaust is around 100 db measured 50' from track, the stock 997 cup exhaust measures 104 db at 50' from track.
I am assuming that you are also planning on changing out your rear bumper for the center exhaust??

fabspeed makes modular systems so it's very easy to swap high flow cats for straight pipes or resonators

Is there a big difference between a 996 2002 cup exhaust and a 997 2007 cup exhaust ?
I bought a a full (headers and center muffler) 2002 cup exhaust .
But i also found a 2007 cup exhaust at a very good price .

i have the exact same exhaust as FLA997 is posting. It's an original 2003 Cup exhaust and produces 103 Db dynamic measured 30 meters from the track (black flagged the other day) I need to go down to 95 so mine will be available soon.

hey flowbe - I have to change exhaust (2004 Cup) to meet AMP restrictions. The K410 picture does not exit from center of bumper. Who is M&M? Does the M&M exit center bumper like the picture above?. thanks man.

The exhaust has got L&R exits or you can choose a center exit option .
I will post a picture later on .
