I do have a Crawford wing from my '08 Grand-Am car, with uprights that fit the 997 decklid. Email for more info, see SIG for email address.

Also an '08 RSR wing if you want a LOT of downforce!

Mike, Matt can have this one, but I am also looking, so: Do you, or anybody else, know if a blade (and uprights) from a 997 cup fit on a 996 cup decklid?

Also, how wide are these Crawford wings? Is there a 'standard' Grand Am spec for all of these, with Crawford only being one of the options?

It is 60 inches wide and yes Crawford was the exclusive GM provider for some years.

from the 2005 Rule Book:

"Rear Wing - All Rolex cars must use the Crawford wing in its as delivered form. The finish cannot be altered /painted/covered in any way. Removable die cut vinyl sponsorship decals may be applied per the approval of Grand American Technical Inspection."

Ok I've checked and found that I have one of these . It's 60 inches long and carbon fiber. I also have the 996 cup uprights.

I have reverse engineered the cup upright and have added 3 inches in height to match the Crawford upright. I am having the first 2 sets made right now (mostly for myself) but if there is interest, I can have more manufactured to sell.

Price would be around $225 for a pair.

I am still looking for a splitter like the Grand Am splitter.

Thanks

Ed

I am still looking for confirmation and evidence of the 996 Crawford/Grand Am splitter.

Found a 997 crawford splitter, but nothing on the 996 yet....

I'm happy with the biggest, tallest, cheapest wing that I can fit on a 996
(I know ... You gotta choose 2 of those 3 )
I'm racing 2010 cups, Lola's and R8s so no need to be 'spec' or period correct.

Sure will. I will get my first go around back next week. Just heard from my laser jet cutter and he is working on them.

These have a nuclear symbol cut in the side ('cause I work for a company that makes parts for the nuke plants) but I can have them do just about anything within reason.

Obviously if I can standardize on something it would be cheaper, but custom is always an option for a bit more money. I do not have a font for the GT3 that is on the side of the stock upright right now, but I am sure that would not be hard to get my hands on.

Thanks

Ed

Both rear wings are in stock, no wicker 120 lbs at 200 kph, 3/4' wicker 420 lbs, We have tested these in a full scale wind tunnel on my race cayman.

Ernie

Wow. Big number change with the 3/4" wicker. What do the drag numbers look like.

Thanks

Ed
